Hey there! My name is Miguel and I'm a junior programmer with experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and R&D. I wrote my first line of code when I was 8 years old and I've loved programming ever since, which led me to get my BSc in Computer Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

I'm currently doing an internship at Quantum Leap on an intelligent shoplifting detection system. I built a pipeline that generated >100,000 images for a synthetic dataset. I've also benchmarked multiple models with small edge AI hardware, and deployed programs on the Portuguese supercomputer Deucalion with datacenter-grade GPUs.

On my own I've studied Machine Learning, Computer Vision and low level programming, and I intend to keep extending my knowledge and to applying AI to robotics.
